TCAN: Fest! Merry Mansion - Nordic Holidays

A holiday tour of the historic Turnblad mansion, now the American Swedish Institute. Sponsored by the Princeton Club of Minnesota. $14.

Explore the unique displays of customs and traditions from the five Nordic countries of Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland and Finland, along with the celebration of holiday traditions of Romanian origins.

TCAN: Night Train Exhibit

A children-friendly event sponsored by the Princeton Club of Minnesota. Adults $10, children under 5 free.

For kids and kids at heart! The Model Railroad Museum's Night Train Exhibit is a magical depiction of a winter-shrouded village. The lights are turned down, the buildings and street lights glow warmly, setting the scene for specially lighted models of vintage passenger trains. The make-believe town of Matlin is buried in a blizzard, and throughout the Museum the layouts are adorned with miniature Christmas lights and decorations.

TCAN: Bach to the Future

Yale and Princeton clubs co-sponsor an evening at the Minnesota Orchestra featuring Helmut Rilling conducting J.S. Bach’s Christmas Oratorio with pre- concert dinner in the Orchestra Hall Green Room.  Bob Peskin (Minnesota Chorale and Princeton) and Ken Freed (Minnesota Orchestra and Yale) will provide an inside look of the workings of the Minnesota Chorale and the Minnesota Orchestra as they collaborate to make Bach's music come alive.

TCAN: Venezuela Developments

Daniel Lansberg-Rodriguez, professor at Northwestern, is a geopolitical risk expert with a focus on Venezuela specifically and global disruptions / shocks broadly.  He will provide a discussion and further color on economic and political developments in Venezuela and will take questions at the end.

TCAN: Alumni Holiday Happy Hour

Join us for an informal networking event from 5:00 to 8:30 at Kieran's Irish Pub downtown. Munch on appetizers and enjoy happy hour drink specials while meeting new people at our large gathering (capped at 100 people and expected to sell out--so reserve your ticket now). Kieran's titanic lounge is a beautiful space with our own private full bar, servers, hors d'oeuvres spreads, and two big screen TVs. $12 per person covers appetizers, and there will be a cash bar.

Join us for an evening of getting connected in MSP at the fabulous Walker Art Center. We will hear from multiple social and professional networking groups in the MSP area on what they offer and how to engage with them, as well as keynote speaker, the Make It.
